Too many times, database maintenance and deployment represent a challenge during application development. And now with Visual Studio 2010, Oracle databases are first class citizens of development solutions. This session will demonstrate how Visual Studio Database Development Tools can ease database managements, deployment and version control integration. New features of 2010 will be covered as well as database unit testing and data generation. Developers will learn how database can be part of their Visual Studio solutions and how easy it is to deploy database objects with other projects.

Speaker Bio: Christian Coté has been in IT for almost 15 years. He is a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist in Business Intelligence (MCTS-BI). For about the last 10 years, Christian has been involved as a consultant in ETL/BI projects. Projects were done using various ETL tools as well as using plain code with various RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server). Christian is a Microsoft MVP for Visual Studio, with his main focus being Database Development Tools, a.k.a. DBPro or Datadude
